GloriaFood shuts down in 2027: what to do with your restaurant's website
13 September 2026
Oracle bought GloriaFood in 2021 and has announced that it retires permanently on 30 April 2027. Restaurants using it for commission-free orders lose the tool from that date, and Oracle has no replacement product.
What that means in practice
According to the announcement, there is no data continuity after the shutdown: once that date arrives, the menu, the photos and the customer details that live only inside GloriaFood stop being available. The sensible move is to save your menu and your customer data soon, even though there are months to go, rather than waiting for the final weeks.
New signups are no longer accepted either, so a restaurant starting today has to find another tool regardless.
GloriaFood and BistroHive, compared honestly
| GloriaFood | BistroHive | |
|---|---|---|
| Commission per order | 0 % | 0 % |
| Future of the platform | Retires on 30/04/2027 | Active |
| How the site is built | Manual setup | Generated automatically from your Google Maps listing, in a minute |
| Price | Free on its basic plan | 14.99 €/month billed yearly |
Worth saying plainly: this is not a cheaper offer. GloriaFood's basic plan was free and BistroHive costs money. What changes is that the tool still exists after April 2027, and that you don't have to build the site by hand.
How to move across without building anything by hand
There is no automatic import from GloriaFood, and we won't pretend otherwise. The path is a different one: you search for your restaurant by name, AI drafts a first version of the menu from your Google Maps listing — dishes, photos, opening hours, reviews — and you edit it from the dashboard until it is exactly your menu.
The site is ready in a minute, with bookings, pickup orders and your own delivery, and you try it for 30 days free before deciding. You can see the full price or start by searching for your restaurant.
